Carl will make a fleeting appearance on Cerys Matthews BBC6 Music show this Sunday morning (April 28th) chatting about his thoughts on Record Store Day 2013. He was interviewed by Cerys outside London's Rough Trade record shop last Saturday (April 20th) whilst enjoying the live music vibes and spring sunshine.

Rough Trade records have always been very supportive of Head Of Light Entertainment, stocking both albums and pushing the band on their website. Here's to them and all independent record shops throughout the UK who continue to fly the flag for new underground pop music.

Both songs are up for inclusion on our third album but you've plenty of time to digest- it won't be out til next year!

It's very nice to be able to report that we are, after a spell in the shadows, once more back in the saddle, back on the trail, and back for the crack!

Our recording session in February went very well and we have 4 new songs in the bag for album number 3. They are (in no particular order):

We will be posting one (maybe two?) of them on our Soundcloud sometime soon, and it would be great to get your reactions. We're also looking at doing something visual with one of them, and when/if that happens, we'll let you have all the details.

Although it may currently appear to be "all quiet on the Head Of Light Entertainment front" (no gigs, no vids, no posts), nothing could be further from the truth. We are working (quite loudly actually) behind the scenes, writing, rehearsing and recording our first new music since the release of "The English Don't Care" last year, and the first with our new drummer Graeme. Four new songs are being primed for a "can't wait" return to our favourite recording studio Room 3, one of which will be given the full video treatment in early spring. We also crawl back onto a stage in late February- the Brandling Villa in Newcastle on the 28th.

So bear with. Our low profile-ness is very much a temporary thing!
